The choice is clear:

One man is a runner.

One man can't walk a golf course.

Running man 2025! We can do this!!!

They went after cat people. Good luck with that!” 😻 - Gov. Tim Walz

Love Joy Reid's comment, ""They want 10-year-olds to have kids. Walz wants 10-year-olds to have lunch." Another comment about him, Kirsten, along w a photo of Walz and his large beautiful cat is: "Governor Walz is a mensch. You could almost say he’s an honorary cat lady." I love his sense of humor too!

A mensch is a decent, good person. Walz is one. We need them to show what that means, lest some people have forgotten.

Exactly, Potter; some have forgotten!

Cats are the cat’s meow, the best! Good thing we can’t post photos; this topic would go off the rails.

Thank you for all you do to educate us about how authoritarianism works, including that you cannot protect yourself by being nice to dictators.

I’m 69 years old with bad knees but recall running in years past. So happy you’re doing this and that you got such a wonderful response. I’m retired with limited finances now (putting everything I have into my Route 66 Spirit of America Museum here in Stroud, Oklahoma), but I’ll chip in what I can. Oh I’m a childless cat guy. Happy International Cat Day! 😺👊🇺🇸

Thank you. Slava Ukraine! We were in Ukraine helping a new school open Lviv. My wife's grandmother was born in Odesa.

That sounds like such wonderful work you are doing! My heart goes out to you!! I will be returning to Ukraine to provide trauma support to civilians soon. It is such an honor to put my skills to work to be of some help there!

Go Tim, have given your *On Tyranny* book to more than 20 people as the most pithy & essential book to read, especially now!

Me too! Both the text and graphics editions and to all ages. Thank you so much!

We ordered bumper stickers from the Harris Campaign which are donations and we donated to Harris immediatey after Biden bowed out.. Wish we could run.. sigh, but this is wonderful.. and through the woods!!! I hope that the money is put to good use. So far I see smart and mature, wise moves.

The Walz pick is perfect in so many ways. I did not know him prior and what a wonderful personality he has. So likable. We have not seen this in my lifetime, which goes back. He is an old fashioned non-triangulating Democrat. He seems to speak extemporaneously, without a prompter, from the heart and from experience. He, in other words, has his head screwed on correctly. And he can come out with "gotchas", a good campaigner. Harris made the right choice. And Biden made the right choice in picking her in 2020. And maybe Clyburn of South Caroline made the pivotal choice for Biden then too ( I was for Bernie Sanders- that still wonderful man). So this is a program most of us, if not all, can get with and push for. It looks hopeful and exciting-- and of course the word JOY is floating around. Don't we need it!!

I would love to donate but I am a foreign national living in Japan. I feel justified in donating insofar as the outcome affects people worlwide, but I don't want to land you in any trouble. From what I read, it might be illegal, so I'll desist and just wish you my best.

I would love to donate too but I'm a foreign national living in Hong Kong. Yes we all have a stake in the outcome this Nov - if Trump is re-elected the whole world is screwed, it'll be a huge boost for the far-right and authoritarians everywhere. Living in Hong Kong we know what it is to have our freedoms trampled by an authoritarian regime. Thank you Prof Snyder for doing your bit and best of luck reaching your goal.

I love Japan; we were there a few years ago. Adding to the good vibes and supporting otherwise is so wonderful too. The money shows support but it cannot do everything.

I am a Canadian Citizen (Actually I consider myself a Quebec Citizen) so not a US Citizen, so can't donate, but the Harris-Walz ticket is fantastic and able and willing to put the Donald in his place; that is in the garbage heap of History. There will not be a repeat of Hitler's coming to power through an election. Merci beaucoup Madame Harris d'avoir sauvé la démocratie en Amérique.

In a recent interview, Governor Walz said that while in San Francisco recently, he ran 5 miles through the Presidio to the Golden Gate Bridge and couldn’t get over the beauty. I know the terrain he was mesmerized by well, having walked the same course in July, and truly it is one of the best runs/walks one can ever take. I was also impressed that as someone characterized as a “ San Francisco liberal”, Walz had only visited the City for the first time at the age of 60. Isn’t there another veep candidate who actually lived and worked here for 3 years? Humm…

Loved learning that Walz runs! Thx. He’s progressive, yes, a welcome alternative to

regressive. Does any sane person want to be a REGRESSIVE in the modern world? Oh, maybe the guy who has been dubbed a FAT ELVIS as he self-embarrasses trying to dance solo in public places. Thanks again for being a more public presence. It helps so many of us.

The good news keeps coming. As a 68yo triathlete I can admire those times. And as an Australian who will be greatly affected by the outcome, but can't participate in the choice, I'm glad the Dems have put up such a strong ticket.
