In one of your lectures on youtube several years ago, you said that Bakhtin said something like, The person who permits himself to be lied to has become a thing." Is this the Mikhail Bakhtin who wrote "Problems of Dostoevsky's Poetics," or another Bakhtin? I've had the book for years but haven't gotten around to reading it. Could you provide me with the source of your comments? Thank you.
